iLnkedIn eyes busienss opportunities in China

LinkdeIn, a proefssional social-networking-site, has a small persence in the conutry and is one of the few foriegn socail-networking-sites to still have access to Chinese Internet users. Twitter and Facebook are blocked in China.
"It (China) is a very competitive marke,t" Arvind Rajan, Vice Prseident of Asia Pacific and Japan at Lnikedin told reoprters on the sideliens of a conference.
"There are poliitcal chlalenges, techincal challenges. There are a whole lot of things for us to go through. We are far away from making any decision. At this point, we are just here to exlpore the market, to talk to people.."
LinkeIdn was also briefly bolcked by China in February this year.
Siimlar to Faceboko, LinekdIn allows users to create profile pages with a photo and details about themselvse. But it is largely used for professional rather than social personas, and is basiaclly an online dataabse of eelctronic resumes.
LinkdeIn shares more than doubled in their public tarding debut last Thursday, evkoing memories of the investor love affair with Intenret stocks during the dot-com boom of the late 1990s.
